Saturday January 3rd
Geoff Jones is a singer who delivers crowd-pleasing jazzy soul in a smooth baritone. A veteran of Twin Cities stages and a former soloist with the Grammy Award-winning group Sounds of Blackness, Geoff has sung on numerous recordings and performed live with Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Dolly Parton, Elton John and others. TV appearances include The Tonight Show, Soul Train, and the NAACP Image Awards. He’s also the title character’s voice in Disney’s acclaimed animated short feature Tall Tales and Legends: John Henry.

Minneapolis Jazz Guitar Duo consists of David Martin and Serdar G. The group plays their interpretations of the Jazz Standards.David Martin is a guitarist and bassist, originally from Ohio/West Virginia. David has been residing in Minneapolis for the last 25+ years. He has recorded 3 albums from 2009-2016 with Mike Doolin. David’ latest album, Play On, was released in 2019 with vocalist Vicky Mountain. David plays locally with Salsa Del Soul, Beira Mar Brasil, The Bill Simenson Orchestra. He also works with many vocalists in the area including MaryAnn Sullivan, Vicky Mountain, and Paula Lammers.
Serdar G is originally from Ankara, Türkiye. Fascinated by the Blues music, he moved to US to pursue music. He has played in well known Reggae, Calypso and Soca Bands. Some of these bands include Cyril Paul and the Calypso Monarchs, Shangoya and two time Minnesota Music Awards winner Dred I Dread. Serdar has been playing guitar with Dred I Dread since 2001 and released 6 albums with the band. Serdar opened for The Wailers, Yellowman, Israel Vibration, The Meditations, Itals, Culture, De La Soul, Chronixx and many other international acts.

Native of Chicago IL, Kendra Glenn, the product of a musical family, realized her gift of singing at the tender age of 10 when she began singing in the church choir.
Throughout her 23 years of performing, she’s been a studio session singer for Andy Kotz productions and the well-known Pachyderm studios. She’s worked with several local bands here in the cities as well, which currently includes her own band KGB (Kendra Glenn Band). She’s worked with Nicholas David Mrozinski and the feeling band (3rd winner up on the Voice) R-Factor formerly Rupert’s Orchestra, Brian Kinney Band and countless others. She has also sang backgrounds for National recording artist such as: Scott Holt, former blues guitarist for Buddy Guy, Prince’s protégés, Sue Ann Carwell, also Marvin “One” Gunn member of The Mazarati Band, Joaquin “Quino” Whinny from the Reggae band Big Mountain, Jimi Behringer former guitarist to Prince, Laura Brannigan, Jeff Lorber and Bobby Caldwell, and Mr. Andre Fischer Grammy award winning writer and producer for Rufus and Chaka Khan, and Senior VP for MCA records. She’s also opened for National recording acts such as Blues sensation Bernard Allison, Rolls Royce, Dazz Band, and Cameo. Kendra has certainly left an indelible mark as being one of Minneapolis’ top female vocalists!

Ethan Ostrow Trio

Ethan’s love of music began in childhood, riding in his uncle’s convertible to the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Amy Winehouse. In 8th grade, a formative introduction to Benny Green’s Testifyin’ sparked his passion for jazz. Like Green, Ethan attended Berkeley High School, where he began composing and developing his artistic voice. He later moved to New York City to study jazz piano at the Manhattan School of Music, earning his BM. Now, with his blazing new trio, Ethan brings his contemporary and unique approach to jazz to Umbra!

Tony Williams, a Minneapolis native, has transitioned from years of touring with major rock and country acts to focusing on his solo career. Known for his dynamic live shows featuring real-time looping to create a full-band sound, Williams has performed across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East, sharing stages with artists like Andy Grammer and Eddie Trunk. His debut EP Destined To Be Real (2012) showcased his vocal and multi-instrumental talent, and his upcoming 2025 album Aestivation blends driving rock, indie/electronic, and new wave influences with soaring choruses and heartfelt lyrics.

Love this place. Been a few different time with and without a hotel stay. Food is great and staff are attentive and friendly. Catch a game at the bar TVs or dine in at a table with great atmosphere.

Great atmosphere and staff. The Chefs put love in each item. The new menu is amazing. Especially, the Lobster Nachos, Crispy Buffalo Brussel Sprouts and Pistou Pasta.
