We checked the list twice – The Naughty List is a festive pop-up bar at Umbra brimming with the North Pole’s rarest spirits. Sip on spiced rum from the Caribbean, eggnog-infused bourbon straight from Kentucky, and elven-distilled gin that’ll make your holiday lights twinkle. Enjoy mulled cider so strong it could thaw the frostiest snowman.

Umbra is located in Downtown Minneapolis inside of the Canopy by Hilton Hotel. This is an ongoing daily event with a spirited bar area crafted for the holiday season. Reservations are not required to enjoy this pop-up bar. Bar and lounge seating is first come, first serve.

Guitarist Joel Shapira is an internationally acclaimed musician residing in St. Paul / Minneapolis MN. He’s a leader and/or member of multiple top Twin Cities’ jazz ensembles. He performs regularly with world class musicians, has numerous recordings to his credit, and is an artist featured on the NYC record label Unseen Rain Records. In 2017, with the release of his album “In Essence”, Shapira has received glowing accolades from critics in Vintage Guitar magazine, The Jazz Police, The Villager newspaper, Jazz writer Andrea Canter, as well as from listeners and fans.

Daniel Gilbert, better known as *Daniel the Violinist*, is a true maestro of musical fusion. Based in the vibrant Minneapolis-St. Paul metro, he seamlessly blends the elegance of classical violin with the bold rhythms of Hip-hop, R&B, Afro-Beats, Jazz, and Latin music, creating a sound that is as dynamic as it is soulful. Daniel’s artistry goes beyond technique – his violin sings with emotion, connecting with audiences on a profound level. For him, playing is more than a craft; it’s a source of joy, a way to spread happiness, and a means to unite people through music’s universal language. Whether performing on grand stages or intimate gatherings, his passion resonates with every note, making each performance an unforgettable experience.
