Kathleen Johnson has worked with many local and international greats such as PRINCE, Kirk Johnson, Billy Holloman, Jamecia Bennett, Jellybean Johnson, Thomasina Petrus, Paul, Patty, and Jason Peterson, Susann Carwell, Gwen Matthews, Debbie Duncan, Billy McLaughlin, Bruce Henry, Keri Noble, Robert Robinson, Ginger Commodore, Lori Line, and Alexander O’Neal. She has fronted many special events projects and corporate bands including her own “UniverSoul” Project. Kathleen has recently released her own “kAt Band” project that features original music and many of the best local musicians and vocalists in the Twin Cities.

Minneapolis Jazz Guitar Duo (MJGD) consists of David Martin and Serdar G. The group play their interpretations of jazz standards.

David is a guitarist and bassist, originally from the Ohio/West Virginia area. Most of the last 25 years he has been in Minneapolis playing all styles of instruments. Serdar G is originally from Ankara, Türkiye. Fascinated by the Blues, he moved to the USA to pursue music. He has played in well-known reggae, calypso, and soca bands.

Jason is the son of Linda Peterson, and was the first of the “next generation” to call music his occupation. He is proficient on keyboards and saxophone, as well as being a talented singer, songwriter and producer. Currently touring as the Saxophonist/Keyboardist with Michael Bolton, he has also toured and/or recorded with renowned artists such as Prince, Alexander O’Neal, Richard Marx, Donny Osmond, Oleta Adams, Solo, Cherrelle as well as Bobby Brown, Ben Sidran and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis’ Flyte Time Productions. Jason attended Berklee School of Music in Boston, studying film score and musical harmony. He is a well-rounded and versatile performer of classic jazz and R &B and has earned a reputation as a solid touring accompanist and ‘front’ solo performer. Jason put out a record called “After Hours” in 2022 and had incredible success at smooth jazz radio!
